Why Yoga and Mindfulness for kids?
How does Rising Hearts Club support the intention of these practices?
Our children are growing up in a fast-paced, high-pressure, overstimulating world that often divides us as individuals rather than bringing us together. This can create a sense of isolation, disconnection, anxiety and overwhelm for children, while not explicitly being taught or having resources to self-regulate, connect or tap into their inner resilience. Yoga and mindfulness offer children embodied practical tools to pause, breathe, reconnect and rise- from the inside out.
Practicing yoga and mindfulness in community offer children the opportunity to learn this together.

Nurturing the whole child
Yoga and mindfulness support social-emotional growth, physical health, and mental well-being. It is a practice that nurtures the mind, body, and heart—building strength and resilience, reducing stress and anxiety, fostering empathy and compassion, and encouraging positive relationships with self, peers, and family.
Sense of Belonging
At Rise Yoga we believe children rise when they feel safe, connected and seen. Our program weaves together
mindful movement, breath awareness, social-emotional learning, creative expression, and community-based
practices in ways that allow children to confidently shine their lights into the world,
knowing they belong, exactly as they are.
Connection and Collective Care
When children learn to pay attention with care and kindness to their own breath, emotions and movement,
and practice moving more mindfully through their world, they don’t just grow within their own true nature-
they help others rise too.
Supportive Environment
Rising Hearts Club offers a cozy small group setting, led by compassionate educators, community builders and social emotional wellness experts who are trained to meet a wide range of needs. Our facilitation team will also welcome the support of peer mentors to continue
co-creating and cultivating a network of community care.

Meet The Team
“I love school, but sometimes I just wish there was more space to breathe. I want to learn in a small group, in a place where I can move my body freely, create, be outside, grow at my own pace,
and just...be me!” ~ 9 year-old participant

Rising Hearts offers a caring and supportive small group environment, a whole child approach, and flexibility for children to make choices based on personal reflection, self awareness, and intention.
